Weissach in the Valley - Unterweissach
On Saturday at around 4:40 pm, smoke was reported in a single-family house on Stuttgarter Straße. The fire department identified a roof fire on site.
There were no people in the building. Despite an immediate firefighting attack, a full fire could not be prevented. The building subsequently burned out completely. The firefighting operations lasted until approximately 9:45 pm. Stuttgarter Straße had to be temporarily closed due to the firefighting operations. The city of Backnang provided accommodation for the residents. The damage is estimated at around 400,000 euros. The Backnang police station has started investigations into the cause of the fire. 80 emergency personnel with 18 vehicles from the Weissach, Auenwald, Allmersbach, Backnang, and Fellbach fire departments were deployed.
