Under the influence of cannabis while driving in Waldsee and Mutterstadt

Waldsee: Shortly after midnight on Saturday, 18.01.2025, a 17-year-old car driver from Speyer tried to evade a traffic check on Ludwigstraße, but was soon stopped and checked by officers on Wörthstraße. Reason for the escape: The young man was obviously under the influence of cannabis and did not have a driver's license.
He is facing a criminal procedure, as is his mother, whose vehicle he was driving.

Mutterstadt: Almost exactly 24 hours later, shortly after midnight on Sunday, 19.01.2025, a radio patrol of the Schifferstadt police station checked a 23-year-old from Ludwigshafen who was driving his car on Neustadter Straße. He too showed typical signs of cannabis use, and a blood test was ordered. He faces a fine of 500EUR, a one-month driving ban, and 2 points in Flensburg.
