BPOL NRW: Federal Police arrest 52-year-old as part of border checks at Kaldenkirchen station

On Tuesday afternoon, 14th January 2025 at 4:10 pm, the Federal Police checked a 52-year-old Polish man entering from the Netherlands on Regional Express 13 at the station in Kaldenkirchen. A comparison of the traveler's personal data with police records revealed that he is wanted by the Freiburg Public Prosecutor's Office on a warrant for a violation of the Road Traffic Act.

The convicted person was subsequently required to pay a fine of 250 EUR. However, since the required fine has not yet been paid, the court ordered a two-day coercive detention. The man was then arrested on the spot and, after the police measures were completed, he was taken to the Willich prison to begin his sentence.
