The signage at the intersection indicates that Neheimer Straße has the right of way at this point. In the intersection, the car collided with a semi-truck that was being driven along Neheimer Straße in the direction of Ense at the same time.
The 19-year-old was slightly injured in the accident. She was taken to a hospital by the emergency services. The 47-year-old driver of the semi-truck, who is from Münster, was unharmed. Both vehicles suffered significant damage, which the police estimate to be around 20,000 euros.
Based on the findings already made by the police at the scene of the accident and further witness statements, it now needs to be clarified whether the weather, possibly the disregard of traffic signs, or a combination of both led to the accident. (MJ)
