Fire in a single-family house

m. When the fire department, rescue service, and police arrived on the scene, the residential building was already ablaze. The three occupants of the house, a 51-year-old man, a 54-year-old woman, and a 16-year-old teenager, were able to leave the building on their own, but had inhaled smoke and were therefore considered slightly injured. The firefighters ultimately successfully extinguished the fire. According to initial cautious estimates, the damage to property is significantly over 100,000 euros. In addition to officers from the Osterholz police station, a specialized crime scene group from the Verden/Osterholz police inspection was also on site to begin initial investigations before the firefighting operations were completed. The further investigations into the unclear cause of the fire are being conducted by the criminal investigation service of the Osterholz police.
