Gernsbach - Unauthorized departure from accident scene, information requested

On Wednesday afternoon, there was a collision between two vehicles in the parking lot of a grocery store in Wörthgarten, resulting in property damage of approximately 3,000 euros. According to initial findings, an unknown driver is believed to have damaged the rear right passenger side of a properly parked BMW belonging to a 59-year-old driver between 1:30 pm and 2:00 pm, and then left the scene of the accident without fulfilling his required duties.
The vehicle of the person causing the accident could presumably be a larger vehicle (flatbed truck, delivery van, etc.) based on the damage pattern. The officers of the Gaggenau police station have begun investigations.
