Driving on the highway with a blood alcohol level of 1.94 and under the influence of THC

A police officer, who was on his way to night duty, noticed a motorist with unusual driving behavior on the BAB 61 in the direction of Ludwigshafen. After pursuing the semi-truck and consulting with the Gau-Bickelheim highway police station, the driver was able to be checked in Alzey.
A slight smell of breath alcohol could be detected from the driver's cab, which resulted in an alcohol test showing a value of 1.94 per mille. In addition, a urine rapid test tested positive for THC.

The 31-year-old then had to accompany them to the station, where a blood sample was taken. The driver's license was immediately confiscated.

The professional driver now has to expect a criminal proceeding and the loss of his driving license.
