Kalkar - 2nd supplementary report to the report from 15.01.2025; 07:59 AM

Following the fire in a residential building on Monrestraße in Kalkar on Tuesday (January 14, 2025), the 7-month-old girl, as reported to the police on this Friday (January 17, 2025), has succumbed to her injuries in a specialist clinic. As previously reported, the 52-year-old man and the 22-year-old woman are no longer in life-threatening condition at the current time.
According to current knowledge, a technical defect in a cooling device caused the fire on Tuesday around 8:30 pm.
