Rheinberg - Suspicious Approach of a Child

On Thursday at around 5:15 pm, an unknown man on Räuberstege street asked a boy to get into his car and show him the way to the train station. The twelve-year-old was walking from Räuberstege towards Lützenhofstraße when a white car pulled up next to him.
The driver asked the boy to get into his SUV and guide him to the Rheinberg train station.

The child declined and continued walking.

According to the twelve-year-old, the man followed him in his car and spoke to him again. The car then drove off in the direction of Königsberger Straße. On Lützenhofstraße, the child saw the man again a little later and called his father, who picked him up.

According to the child, the unknown man is between 40 and 50 years old and 1.80 meters tall. He has a dark hairline and a robust figure. He also spoke accent-free German and wore a white T-shirt and a dark winter jacket.

The criminal police are asking witnesses to contact the West police station in Kamp-Lintfort at the phone number 02842 / 934-0.
