Bergisch Gladbach/Overath - Jewelry stolen in two residential burglaries

Yesterday (16.01.), there were two residential burglaries in single-family homes in Bergisch Gladbach and Overath. In Herkenrath, the unknown perpetrator(s) forcibly gained access to a residential house on Schillerstraße between 08:55 and 10:00. According to initial findings, they smashed the glass of the patio door to do this.

In Overath, unknown individuals broke into a residential house on Breslauer Straße between 15:15 and 18:30. Here, the glass of a balcony door was damaged. In both cases, the perpetrator(s) searched the premises for valuables and each time stole jewelry worth a low five-figure sum in euros.

The police took the corresponding criminal complaints and carried out forensic investigations in each case.
