Pretrial detention was ordered for the younger accused. The older officer was released, but is currently not on duty. Disciplinary proceedings have been initiated against both officers.
Immediately after the allegations against the 33-year-old police chief inspector and the 50-year-old police chief inspector became known, among other things, searches of official rooms and the accused's apartments were carried out. Possible evidence was secured.
The Hanover Police Department ordered an immediate investigation of internal processes in the police station where the two officers had served their duty on Monday (January 6, 2025).

Therefore, it is important and correct that the law enforcement agencies reacted immediately when the allegations became known.
