Schwalm-Eder District, Homberg/Efze

Thanks to the quick intervention of the fire brigade, all residents were able to leave the house and the fire was quickly brought under control. Two female residents (16 and 20 years old) suffered from smoke inhalation and were taken to a hospital for further treatment. After the firefighting operations, the building was released by the fire brigade and the residents were able to return to their apartments. The estimated building damage is in the mid five-figure euro range. No information can be given yet about the cause of the fire. The criminal police in Homberg/Efze have started investigations.
