Public manhunt - Who paid here with counterfeit money?

(AB) The police are searching for a suspect in a case of counterfeit money circulation using an image from a surveillance camera. The unknown individual made contact with the seller of a Playstation 5 through the internet portal "Classifieds".
On Sunday, 26th May 2024, they arranged a handover appointment at the seller's residential address in the Gehlenbeck district in the evening hours.

The alleged fraudster paid for the gaming console with several 50 Euro notes. The fraud was only discovered after the unsuspecting seller deposited the money at the bank. The banknotes turned out to be counterfeit.

As the previous internal police investigations did not lead to the unknown person's trail, the Bielefeld District Court has now ordered the publication of the image.

The man depicted in the photos appears to be between 20 and 25 years old and of average build. He had short dark hair, over which he wore a black baseball cap. He was dressed in blue jeans, a white T-shirt, and white Nike sneakers.

The investigators ask: Who recognizes the man in the picture or who can provide information about his whereabouts? Tips are requested at telephone number (0571) 8866-0.
