Chase - Vehicle driver has no driving license

On Thursday, January 17, 2025, around 11:50 pm, a police chase occurred in Geseke, starting from Bürener Straße, by the police of the Soest district. A 36-year-old driver from Hanover was supposed to be stopped and checked with his Audi A3 as part of a general traffic control.
He ignored the stop signs and fled from the control. After about a 20-minute chase, which extended into the Paderborn area, the driver jumped out of his still rolling car on Thüler Straße in Salzkotten. The car then crashed into a metal gate. After a short foot chase, the driver of the vehicle was apprehended by the pursuing officers without resistance. He does not have a driving license and was under the influence of intoxicating substances. The driver was subjected to a blood test, and he is facing several charges for driving without a license, driving under the influence of intoxicating substances, hit and run, and various traffic offenses during the escape. Both the driver and the owner of the car, who was in the passenger seat, were uninjured. The fugitive's vehicle sustained minor damage.
