Driver under the influence of drugs caught due to faulty headlight

One of the car's headlights was obviously defective. The officers stopped the 24-year-old driver for a traffic check. The young man from Siegburg was very nervous from the start and told the officers that he had forgotten his papers at home. He also said that the vehicle belonged to a relative and he knew nothing about a defective headlight. However, that was only half the truth: The 24-year-old had lost his driver's license due to various drug offenses. The drug test carried out during the check also tested positive for cocaine and amphetamine. At the police station, a blood sample was taken from the Siegburg resident on suspicion of driving without a license under the influence of drugs. An investigation was also initiated against the vehicle owner. He is suspected of having allowed the use of his vehicle by a person without a driving license.
