Ahlen. Driver drove under the influence of drugs

On Saturday, January 11, 2025, an attentive road user reported a suspicious car driver on Beckumer Street in Ahlen around 10:50 a. m.
The driver was reportedly swerving and had already veered onto the green strip several times. Police searched for the car and found it along with the driver on Schützenstraße. The 30-year-old underwent a preliminary drug test. Since this was positive, the officers took the man from Sendenhorst into custody. They had a blood sample taken from him and secured his driver's license.
