Two trips under the influence of alcohol

On Saturday, 18.01.2024, colleagues from the PI Saale-Orla identified two instances of driving under the influence of alcohol during traffic checks. Firstly, at 14:50, a 65-year-old car driver was checked in the city area of Pößneck.
Here, the colleagues conducted a breath alcohol test, which resulted in a value of 0.61 per mille.

At 15:50, a 53-year-old woman with her car on the L1103 between the locations of Eßbach and Erkmannsdorf was subjected to a traffic check. Here too, the breath alcohol test yielded a value of 0.87 per mille, too high to be allowed to drive a motor vehicle in public traffic.

Both drivers now face a regulatory offence report, which comes with a substantial fine and a 1-month driving ban.
