Traffic checks - several drivers caught with their phones

On Thursday, between 09:30 am - 2:00 pm, several checkpoints were set up in Schifferstadt on Hauptstraße and at Südbahnhof, as well as in Mutterstadt on Neustadter Straße by officers of the Schifferstadt Police Inspection. In total, six mobile phone violations were detected and a defect report was issued due to an expired main inspection.

In the evening, between 9:15 pm - 10:30 pm, traffic checks were carried out on Kirchenstraße in Schifferstadt, with regard to the roadworthiness of the road users and the lighting equipment on the vehicles. Here, 1 violation of the seat belt obligation had to be penalized and two defect reports due to inadequate lighting had to be issued. In all cases, appropriate warnings were issued or administrative offence reports were made.
