Cyclist under the influence of alcohol causes traffic accident

On Thursday, around 7:45 pm, the 26-year-old was riding his bicycle on the cycle path in Saalfeld on Pößnecker Street. Here, he intended to cross Pößnecker Street at the level of the railway bridge / freight station, but did not pay attention to the right-of-way 22-year-old driver of a car and collided with her.
No one was injured. Damage was caused to the car and the bicycle. The breath alcohol test conducted with the 26-year-old revealed a value of more than 1.1 per mille. A blood sample was taken at a hospital and criminal proceedings were initiated against him.
