Due to a defective low beam, a police patrol checked a car on Hagener Straße shortly after 8 p. on Thursday. The driver, a 37-year-old Iraqi, presented a Ukrainian driver's license. There were several discrepancies on the license itself. A check with a document verification device revealed further indications of a complete forgery. The police officers seized the driver's license, prohibited the operation of motor vehicles and filed reports against the driver for forgery of documents and driving without a license, as well as against the owner of the car for allowing driving without a license.
