32-year-old flees during traffic control - Police officers stop drive under the influence of drugs and without a driver's license - #polsiwi

During the night leading up to this Thursday (16th January), the Siegen police caught a 32-year-old driver who was under the influence of drugs and driving without a license. The 32-year-old's attempt to flee was unsuccessful.
At around 00:14, a police patrol on Koblenzer Street heading towards Eiserfeld encountered a Mercedes. The police vehicle turned around and the officers signaled for the car to stop, intending to conduct a traffic check. Instead of stopping, the Mercedes accelerated. After a chase through the district in the area of Wiesenstraße at significantly excessive speed, the fleeing vehicle stopped shortly thereafter on Stumme-Loch-Weg street. According to current knowledge, there were no specific dangers to others during this incident.

During the check of the 32-year-old driver, the officers found that he did not have a driving license. In addition, the officers found a small bag with white powder. The Mercedes driver admitted to having consumed cocaine and taken medication. The officers took the 32-year-old to the Siegen police station, where a blood sample was taken. The man now faces numerous charges, including driving under the influence of drugs and medication, driving without a license, and violation of the Narcotics Act. In addition, the traffic department is investigating due to the reckless escape for a prohibited (single) motor vehicle race.
