Press release from the Peine Police dated 16.01.2025

Last night, the Peine police stopped two drivers during traffic checks who presented a presumably fake driver's license. At around 11:30 pm, an Opel was stopped in Edemissen and the 22-year-old driver was checked.
The handed over driver's license showed some signs of forgery and according to information systems, the man did not possess a driving license. He was prohibited from continuing his journey and the driver's license was secured for further examination.

Shortly thereafter, around 00:00 am, another patrol car crew stopped a Fiat in Stederdorf. Here too, the presented driver's license of the 30-year-old driver appeared suspicious, so it had to be secured.

Criminal proceedings for driving without a license have been initiated against both men.
