(BC) Gutenzell - 67-year-old endangers oncoming cars / Oncoming traffic has to swerve

On Saturday, at around 9.30 a. m.
, the police were informed that a Ford was driving noticeably erratically from Ochsenhausen to Gutenzell. A patrol from the Ochsenhausen police station quickly located the Ford and its 67-year-old driver and attempted to stop hi However, the driver did not respond to the stop signals and continued his journey towards Gutenzell. Several oncoming vehicles had to swerve onto the grass verge to avoid a collision. It was only when the patrol car positioned itself in front of the Ford on Kirchberger Straße and stopped that the 67-year-old also stopped. During the check, the police officers found that the driver was under the influence of alcohol. The driver then had to provide a blood sample and will now be charged with drunk driving, the investigation is still ongoing. Fortunately, no damage was caused. The police are now looking for witnesses who had to swerve because of the Ford driver or who observed anything related to this. The Biberach police station is accepting relevant information at the telephone number: 073514470.
