Motorway 7, between the Göttingen junction and Göttingen rest area in the direction of Kassel Thursday, January 16, 2025, around 09:50 amROSDORF(ab) - Due to a serious traffic accident on the Autobahn 7 in the direction of Kassel involving a truck, the direction towards the south is currently completely blocked. Emergency services are on site.
The rescue helicopter is also on its way.

How the accident occurred is not yet clear. According to initial information, one person involved was trapped in their vehicle. The A 7 is currently completely blocked. As a result, a traffic jam has formed. It is still unclear how long the blockage will have to remain in place.

The highway police appeal to the road users to form and maintain an emergency lane.
