BPOL NRW: Federal Police execute arrest warrant at Lower Rhine Airport

On Wednesday afternoon, January 15, 2025, the Federal Police at Niederrhein Airport checked the personal details of a 43-year-old Bulgarian. It turned out that the traveler is wanted by the public prosecutor's office in Düsseldorf with a warrant.
The Neuss District Court issued a penal order for fraud against the man in August 2021. The convicted person still had to pay a fine of a total of 4500 EUR or serve a 90-day prison sentence. The Bulgarian paid the due amount to the Federal Police at Niederrhein Airport and was then allowed to continue his journey after the police measures were completed.
