Police chase of a car driver through Dudweiler, Sulzbach and Friedrichsthal ends with an accident in St. Ingbert

The accused driver of a car was driving his vehicle in Saarbrücken-Dudweiler on Sulzbachtalstraße in the direction of Sulzbach and was supposed to be subjected to a general traffic check. After the driver noticed that a patrol car was following him, he immediately accelerated and ignored the stop signs.

The ensuing chase extended from Saarbrücken-Duweiler via Sulzbach to Friedrichsthal and after a U-turn back to Sulzbach and finally to St. Ingbert, with two patrol cars from the PI Sulzbach and two patrol cars from the PI St. Ingbert pursuing the BS. This resulted in various traffic offenses by the accused (excessive speed, running red lights, violation of the right-hand driving rule). There was no danger to other road users.

In St. Ingbert, the accused drove into Triftstraße (dead end), where he drove over a green strip onto a children's playground at the end of it. Here, the accused got stuck in the sand with his car and lightly collided with a climbing frame. He then fled on foot, but was apprehended and arrested after a short foot chase.

The accused was not in possession of a driving license and was under the influence of narcotics. He now faces several criminal proceedings.
