Fourteen people were injured in the accidents. A female driver, who veered off Großgartacher Straße in Heilbronn-Böckingen around 5.15 a.m. and subsequently drove down a slope, had to be taken to a hospital with severe injuries. Thirteen other people suffered minor injuries.
The main accident hotspot was in the city and district of Heilbronn. The area of the Weinsberg police station was particularly affected, where 41 accidents alone were attributed to the icy roads.
The numerous traffic accidents resulted in total damage of around 1.5 million euros.
