Cyclist hit by turning car

On Tuesday morning (14th January), there was a traffic accident in which a cyclist was seriously injured. The 67-year-old was riding his bike on Krefelder Straße in the direction of Heerstraße at around 10.05 am.
At the same time, a 36-year-old man from Hückelhoven was driving his car on Richard-Skor-Weg and turned onto Krefelder Straße towards Heerstraße. The vehicles involved collided during the turning process. As a result of the collision, the cyclist was thrown onto the road and seriously injured. He had to be taken to a hospital for further treatment.
