Fire in residential building

Joint press release from the Frankenthal/Pfalz Public Prosecutor's Office and the Rheinpfalz Police HeadquartersAlready on 11.01.2025, around 6 pm, a fire broke out in a storage room of a residential building on Justus-von-Liebig-Straße in Limburgerhof. The fire caused property damage amounting to around 50,000 euros.
No persons were injured. The Frankenthal Public Prosecutor's Office and the Ludwigshafen Criminal Police immediately began investigations into the cause of the fire. The scene of the fire was examined on 14.01.2025 by an expert and fire investigator from the Criminal Police. The fire is therefore likely to have been caused by a technical defect in a cable harness.
