Cheated with fake SMS

On Tuesday (14th January), a man received a text message on his mobile phone. He assumed that the message was from his bank.
The notification asked him to follow a link to prevent the expiration of his Push-Tan-App. After the 69-year-old complied with the request, he received a call. An unknown male person, allegedly a bank employee, claimed that a high four-digit sum had been transferred from the man's account. To cancel the transaction, the stranger sent another link. The older man entered his access data again. In reality, he was now making the transfer. After a callback to his bank, he recognized the fraud and filed a report with the police.
