Three hours later, at around 4 a.m., the officers checked an Audi with German registration on the A15 motorway at the Cottbus South junction. Here too, the 46-year-old Polish driver had neither proof of ownership nor a vehicle key for the car.
The Federal Police officers temporarily arrested both men and initiated investigations on suspicion of receiving stolen goods and particularly serious theft against the 27 and 46-year-olds.
The Brandenburg Police took over the further processing of the two cases due to their jurisdiction.
