Metelen, Theft from Construction Site
Unknown perpetrators have stolen building materials from a construction site on Schulstraße. The crime occurred between Friday (10.01.25), 3:20 pm and Monday (13.01.25), 6:45 am.
How the perpetrators gained access to the building, which is currently under construction, is still unclear.
The perpetrators dismantled and stole fittings that had already been installed on the upper floor, among other things. They also stole various electronic tools from the basement and ground floor. The damage is estimated to be in the high three-digit range, according to initial estimates.
The police are investigating and are accepting tips from witnesses at the Ochtrup station at phone number 02553/9356-4155.
