(GP) Lauterstein - Taken out of service / On Monday, the police identified numerous defects in a car at Lauterstein

At 10.20 am, the police stopped an Opel Vectra on the main street in Nenningen. Since the car had serious defects, an appraisal was ordered.
The appraiser identified a total of 19 defects. In addition to significant defects in the tires, the exhaust was also likely to fall off. Therefore, the vehicle was taken out of service. During the inspection, the 39-year-old driver showed the officers his Ukrainian driver's license. The officers found that it was not valid. He now faces a charge of driving without a license.

Note:

People who have obtained a driver's license in a non-EU country must have it converted if they establish their residence in Germany, within six months. However, there are also exceptions where even a driver's license from an EU country can lose its validity. This is regulated in the Driving License Regulation (FeV).
