Fraud by fake roofers in Duingen

Duingen (new) - As has only just been reported, a fraud occurred last Thursday, 09.01.2025, during the time between 11:00 - 13:00.Two male, so far unidentified individuals rang the doorbell of an 83-year-old woman in the Marienhagen district of Duingen and informed her that her chimney needed to be painted. The work would cost 1500 euros and payment would be required in advance.
Unfortunately, the victim complied with this demand suffered a low, four-figure financial loss. The work was subsequently not carried out.

The police are now asking for information from the public about the two men or any vehicles they may have used. They may have previously offered roofing work or similar. Relevant information can be given to the Alfeld police at 05181/80730.
