BPOL NRW: Federal Police execute a penal order on the Federal Motorway 40 at the Tomm Heide rest area

, officers of the Federal Police checked a 32-year-old man in a car with Romanian registration on the A40 motorway at the Tomm Heide rest area as part of border controls. A review of the traveler's personal details in the police records revealed that there was an execution order against him from the Passau Public Prosecutor's Office for document forgery. Accordingly, the Romanian was sentenced to a fine of 60 daily rates of 30 euros each by the Passau District Court in March 2024. The individual was taken to the Kempen Federal Police station for further processing. By paying the fine of 1800 euros and 82.50 euros in court costs, the convicted person was able to avert the expected substitute imprisonment of 30 days and continue his journey after the police measures were completed.
