The quickly summoned emergency services were able to locate a fire in the paint booth through extensive exploration measures. The fire also spread to a roof area of the hall. In total, the fire department deployed three teams with breathing apparatus and two jet pipes in an interior attack, as well as a parallel prepared turning tube operation via the turntable ladder. The quick intervention of the fire department prevented the flames from spreading to adjacent buildings. After the fire was brought under control and finally extinguished, the fire department initiated extensive ventilation measures. Finally, the areas were revised again using a thermal imaging camera to rule out any smoldering nests.
Parallel to the firefighting operations, a total of four people were examined by the emergency medical service. However, no transport to a hospital was necessary.
After about 2.5 hours, the operation could be ended for 45 emergency personnel from both fire brigades.
