and 3 p., a major inspection was carried out on the A7 motorway towards Hamburg at the Aalbek rest area by the Highway Police and Central District Office. In this process, all traffic was directed through the rest area. Individual traffic checks were then carried out at the rest area by the approximately 80 officers from customs and police.

Both specialist services of the Central PABR (BAB and district), the traffic monitoring service from Neumünster, and trainees from the PD AFB Eutin were involved in the traffic check. In addition to the training of the young officers from the PD AFB, alcohol and drug offenses were the focus of the control.

In this context, the police carried out several drug pre-tests on drivers on site, all of which turned out negative.

In total, the officers checked 512 motor vehicles. There were complaints about 124 vehicles.

72 control report procedures (defect report), 67 administrative offense procedures, and three criminal proceedings were initiated. In addition, the continuation of the journey was prohibited in four cases.

The administrative offense procedures ranged from expired first aid kits and expired main inspections to load securing violations. Furthermore, seven violations in the area of driving and rest times for truck drivers and in this context driving without a driver card were detected.

One of the aforementioned criminal proceedings was initiated against the Bulgarian driver of a VW transporter. He is suspected of having stolen the VW transporter. In addition, a stolen e-scooter was found in the transporter. Both vehicles were seized.

Furthermore, two criminal proceedings were initiated for driving without a license.

The customs were able to detect several tax offenses, which were subsequently levied on site. In this context, cartons of cigarettes were also seized. A driver encountered was wanted for search/location determination.
