Forbach, Herrenwies, L83 - Slipperiness

Unadjusted speed in conjunction with icy conditions likely led to a bus driver losing control of her bus between Schwarzenbachtalsperre and Herrenwies on Wednesday morning. She veered off the road and tipped into an adjacent ditch shortly after 9 am after breaking through guardrails.
The bus driver was presumably slightly injured and was taken to a hospital in an ambulance. There were no passengers on the bus at the time of the accident. Fire department personnel were dispatched to free the woman from the wrecked vehicle. The damage is estimated to be around 50,000 euros according to initial estimates. Currently, the L83 between B462 and B500 is still closed for ongoing recovery work.
