The police officers called to the scene noticed a suspicious Mercedes Sprinter on their way on the Ostring. They decided to check the vehicle.
The driver was wearing a headlamp, just like the thief was supposed to have worn. The officers found numerous car parts on the loading area. Some of them still had a layer of ice on them. They could be assigned to the car dealership.
To clarify where the other vehicle parts came from, the officers secured the transporter.
Since the 30-year-old Pole does not have a permanent residence in Germany, the public prosecutor's office applied for detention until his main trial.
