On Sunday, January 12, 2025, at 10:40 AM, federal police forces at Dresden main station checked a 43-year-old German national. He had been convicted by the Dresden Public Prosecutor's Office for a violation of the Narcotics Act (BtMG). Since he could not pay the fine of 450 euros, he was committed to serve 15 days in prison.
On Monday, January 13, 2025, at around 05:50 AM, a check was carried out as part of a border police control in the cross-border entry train from the Czech Republic to Germany. A 49-year-old Slovak national was checked. He had an outstanding fine of 700 euros for theft, imposed by the Hamburg District Court. Since he could not pay the fine, he was given a substitute prison sentence of 70 days.
