BPOLI DD: Unprovoked attack at Dresden main station: 28-year-old arrested

On January 14, 2025, a 64-year-old German man was suddenly physically attacked by a male individual at Dresden's main train station. Thanks to a detailed description of the person, officers from the Dresden Federal Police Inspection were able to arrest the suspect shortly afterwards.
The suspect, a 28-year-old Syrian, had previously appeared on police records multiple times. He was taken to the Federal Police premises for further police processing.

The 28-year-old attacked the victim in the main entrance area of Dresden's main train station without any apparent reason, by kicking him in the chest with his foot. As a result, the victim was slightly injured. This incident was witnessed by several people present.

An investigation for assault has been initiated against the 28-year-old suspect.
