Did not see the overtaking vehicle - Accident

On Monday afternoon (13.01.2025), a 45-year-old woman was driving on the federal highway 89 from Hildburghausen towards Ebenhards. She wanted to turn left onto a gravel road and overlooked that a 60-year-old Renault driver was already in the process of overtaking.
The cars collided and the man in the Renault was trapped. He was taken to the hospital with severe injuries by ambulance. The 45-year-old woman and her four other passengers, including a 28-year-old woman, a 24-year-old man, and a 4-year-old and a 10-month-old child, suffered minor injuries and were taken to the hospital for examination. The cars had to be towed. The route was fully blocked for an hour.
