Drunk driving in the north of Erfurt
On Sunday morning, the police in northern Erfurt recorded two independent cases of drunk driving within five minutes. First, a 43-year-old Opel driver with a blood alcohol level of 1.74 was stopped.
Shortly afterwards, other officers checked a 48-year-old Opel driver on a different street who was driving with a blood alcohol level of 1.52. Both drivers were taken to the station, where blood samples were taken by a doctor. It turned out that the two accused had apparently been celebrating at the same wedding beforehand. Appropriate investigations have been initiated against the drivers. (ER)
