Traffic accident under the influence of alcohol followed by escape in Mainz-Bretzenheim - Witness appeal

On Sunday morning, 12.01.2025 at about 03.15 am, several vehicle parts and accident damages are initially reported by road users at the junction area of Haifa-Allee to Mercedesstraße. The police forces arriving at the scene can determine that apparently several traffic signs/islands were run over and damaged.

In addition, a heavily damaged high-quality Mercedes AMG can be found driving in the nearby area, whose 19-year-old intoxicated driver initially flees upon seeing the patrol, but is soon apprehended and identified as the cause of the accident.
