Prosecutor's Office and Stuttgart Police announce

Police officers arrested a 41-year-old man on Saturday (18.01.2025) who is suspected of having stolen a jacket worth about 90 euros from a clothing store on Königstraße and then resisted being detained. The man entered the sales area around 3:30 pm and is believed to have taken the jacket.
He then allegedly left towards the exit without paying. When the store's security alarm went off as he was leaving, the man fled and was pursued by a 23-year-old employee. At the level of Paulinenstraße, the fleeing man is said to have punched the employee in the face. The man was then arrested by police officers who were called to the scene. The 41-year-old, who is a Polish national, was presented to a magistrate at the request of the public prosecutor's office, which suspended the requested arrest warrant on conditions.
