Two drives under the influence of alcohol

Colleagues from the PI Sonneberg identified two instances of driving under the influence of alcohol during traffic checks on Saturday and Sunday. Firstly, a car driver was checked in the city area of Sonneberg at 02:31 am on 18.01.2025. The colleagues conducted a breath alcohol test, which showed a value of 0.96 per mille.
On 19.01.2025 at 02:22 am, a car driver and his car were subjected to a traffic check on Robert-Koch-Straße in Neuhaus am Rennweg. Here, the breath alcohol measurement showed a value of 0.66 per mille.

Both drivers now face a regulatory offence report, which comes with a fine and a 1-month driving ban.
