Failed shortcut in the roundabout

In Eisenberg on Saturday evening, a 21-year-old drove his Ford car from Friedrich-Ebert-Straße into the roundabout at Schützenplatz. On the advice of a passenger to save time and distance, the roundabout was used in the opposite direction to the prescribed driving direction.
Unfortunately, no time was saved, as a 21-year-old Opel driver was now coming towards the Ford. They collided. In the accident, the passenger in the Opel was slightly injured.
