(VS-Villingen / Schwarzwald Baar District) Witness appeal after extortion in Sparkasse (January 16, 2025)
On Thursday, around 9 p. m.
, an extortion involving the handover of cash took place at a Sparkasse branch. A 56-year-old man entered the branch on Karlsruher Street and withdrew money from an ATM. Immediately afterwards, an unknown person approached him and forced him to withdraw money again under the threat of a knife. The man complied and handed over a low four-figure su The extortionist then fled with the money. Witnesses who can provide information about the crime are asked to contact the criminal police in Villingen at the number 07721 / 6010.
