Aachen Police Balance Sheet

After a total of nine gatherings today, Saturday, the police draw a mixed balance. The march "We are Aachen - Nazis are not" began around 3:30 pm with about 5500 participants at the Aachen Arcades and moved peacefully and loudly to Aachen Central Station.

Further groups of people gathered for sit-ins at Oranienstraße (1) and the intersection Bismarckstraße (2). While the people of the first blockade removed themselves independently, the blockade at the intersection Bismarckstraße was cleared by police forces. A police officer was slightly injured in the process.

At Adalbertsteinweg 220, 208, partly masked, people also gathered for a sit-in. The police carried out identity checks on all persons; the persons were then able to leave the area. Eleven minors were also among the persons who were released early after their personal details were recorded.

The police managed to provide an alternative route, allowing the march to continue. The demonstra
