(GP) Göppingen - Couple behaves inappropriately / For a trivial reason, a physical altercation with the police developed on the night from Friday to Saturday

A 36-year-old woman was asked to provide her personal details to a patrol from the Göppingen police station after witnessing a dispute in a Göppingen restaurant around 01:30. Despite being reasoned with, she refused, and was taken to the Göppingen police station. Instead of reconsidering her actions there, the lady was completely uncooperative.
The situation escalated into a scuffle with the police officers. Only after her partner brought her ID, the personal details of the 36-year-old were confirmed. Since there was no longer any reason to detain the woman, she was released by the police officers. Suddenly, however, she was no longer willing to leave. She eventually had to be forcibly removed from the premises of the police station. To make matters worse, her 41-year-old partner also got involved in the situation. He stood in front of the entrance to the police station and repeatedly dialed emergency number to complain. Both on the phone and standing in front of the station, he was very irate and was not willing to go home. Since all attempts to calm him and his partner were unsuccessful, both were taken into custody. After another scuffle with the woman in front of the cell, both had to spend the rest of the night, of course separately, in the custody facility. She now faces a criminal proceeding for resisting law enforcement officers. Furthermore, they can expect fines for refusing to provide personal details and for not complying with a banishment order. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Ulm Police Headquarters, Command Situation Centre, Duty Police Officer (Rainer Strobl) Tel. 0731/188-1111, ulm.pp.fest.flz@polizei.bwl.de++++(0110829, 0110938, 0110905)
